Default Cluster issues on 2000 - 07-10-2008 , 08:05 PM






I need to install SQL Server 2000 on a Windows 2000 cluster - Yes I know how
sad is that...

Anyhow, I have following the installation based on the white paper below to
a T, however, I receive the following errors after I install Cluster
Services on the first first node - basically clustering service fails to
start.

One of the biggest weaknesses of Windows 2000 is that it let you build a
non-working cluster. Windows 2003 is better and 2008 is great.
Unfortunately without detailed access to the system and setup logs, I cant
help a lot. It looks like the Q drive is not accessable from all nodes and
did not correctly form a clustered resource.
