Default Changing IP addresses in Cluster - 07-11-2003 , 12:22 PM

I have read the KB articles 230356,244980, and 241828
regarding changing IP's on a SQL cluster. Right now my
IPs are 192.168.0.21 & .22 on a subnet of 255.0.0.0.
That SM is obviously wrong for that IP range and I want to
correct it to 255.255.255.0.
Do you think just changing the SM will require me to go
through the whole "changing IP" process? I just want to
see if anyone else has done this?
Thanks,
Bob

Haven't read the KBs. I've probably violated everything they said. I just
went in and changed the IPs on the cluster the 2 times I've had to do this.
But, I wouldn't recommend it. Follow the KBs, they are published for a
reason and that reason is to ensure you stay up and running. Both of the
times I've had to change IPs were on test systems, so if I blew them up, it
wasn't critical.
