Default Can't start new cluster - Server 2003 Enterprise - 03-03-2004 , 07:39 AM

Trying to setup a new cluster (will be a SQL cluster) and when the
setup wizard reanalyzes prior to starting the actual setup process, it
fails on authentication. The error states that the trust relationship
has failed between this workstation and the primary domain... it also
says the user account is invalid. The server is successfully logged
onto the domain with the user account that I'm using to start the
cluster (a domain admin account). Everything indicates that both the
trust relationship and the user account are good (except for the
cluster wizard). I've tried two different servers, re-establishing
the server domain accounts, and different admin user accounts... all
with the same error message when starting the new cluster. Any ideas?

TIA.

Hello,
From your email, I am not able to determine if you are having problems
installing the Windows cluster, starting SQL Server failover cluster setup
or if you are unable to start either the cluster service or SQL Server
after setup.

Assuming that your Windows cluster is up and running fine and that you are
having problems starting the SQL Server failover cluster setup, the
following article may be of help to you.
814844 PRB: Error Message: "Setup was unable to validate the logged user..."

Thanks
