Default Can an SQL 2008 Instance Directory be installed on a Cluster Share - 11-18-2008 , 03:38 PM

Hi,
Can I configure a SQL 2008 Instance Directory on a Cluster Drive? I would
like to put the system DBs on a cluster drive. But when I select a cluster
drive, it give me an error:
------------------------------
Instance directory (or command line option /INSTANCEDIR) value for a cluster
installation cannot be a directory on shared drive.
------------------------
Any idea how to fix this?

Thanks,
Yuhong

Never mind. The root directory has to be on the local drive on each node. The
will be options to specify data and log directories later on in the
installation process .
Thanks!
