Default build order of cluster service and patches - 02-17-2004 , 04:46 PM

We're in the process of building new servers. One would be Win2k Advanced, Cluster Service, and SQL 2k Enteprise.
The question I have is what's the install order I need to take. My intended order is:
1. Win2k Advanced
2. Cluster Service
3. Win2k SP4
4. Patches released after SP4
5. SQL 2k enteprise
6. SQL 2k SP3a
7. SQL related patches after sp3a (mainly MS03-031 I believe, as MS04-003 is covered in Win2k patches)

The other thought I have is to install OS, then win2k SP4 + patches, then cluster service, then SQL 2k + sp3a + patches.

Which way is correct? Or any best practice advice?

TIA,
Jason

I agree with this installation path. I suggest you to read carefully the
link below

for detailed steps and then this white paper about SQL Server clustering
