Default Additional SQL Instance on the current cluster - 09-29-2009 , 10:40 PM

Hi All,
I have the following scenario:
I have SQL 2005 Standard (x64) installed on 2 nodes (Active/Passive) on Windows 2003 (x64). There is a requirement for another instance on the same servers.
What is the process I need to follow?
Is there any precautions I need to take, so I don't screw up the current setup?
Is there any MSDN / Technet document available?

Thanks,
Ravi

You need a one or more disks. one each IP address on the same subnet(s) as
your existing NICs, and a name for the new instance.

Make yourself a checklist so you don't cross anything up.

Installing a second or fifth instance on a cluster is just the same as
installing the first one. That is one of the big reasons why there is so
little documentation on the subject.
