Yes. Thank you Edwin --GNH "Edwin vMierlo [MVP]" <EdwinvMierlo (AT) discussions (DOT) microsoft.com> wrote in message news:utLstUH0IHA.5928 (AT) TK2MSFTNGP06 (DOT) phx.gbl... I agree with Geoff, very carefully go over your implementation/configuration and ensure you have all best practices implemented. And I am sure that Geoff means Windows 2003...... in stead of 2004. ;-) "Geoff N. The CX3 series is one of the better choices for a database back end. There is defintely something not right sbout your configuration. Memory on one or the other server is a prime candidate. In WIndows 2004/SQL2005 clustering, all nodes should perform equally well if they have a single instance. Stacking instances on a single node will require ACTIVE memory management on your part or second and later instances will perform extremely poorly. -- Geoff N. EMC CX3-20c Do you need more specifics? Or should I just be perfmonning something? "Geoff N. Anyone have any ideas why a SQL 2005 active/active configuration, would be noticibly slower than if I move one of the active nodes to the other and run on the same node? It doesn't matter which node I put them on, when I run them on 2 different nodes, SLOW, when I move them both to the same node, faster. Each node has the same config, and it doesn't matter which instance is on which node. They are both slow by themselves. Anything from a SQL or configuration standpoint? |
