I have two nodes (active/passive) in my cluster that I am trying to upgrade
from 64-bit SQL 2005 SP1 to SP2. I followed Microsoft's instructions and
logged into the active node with Admin Privleages. However, the setup keeps
failing when attempting to upgrade the Database Services.

It says:
Error Number: 11009
Description: No passive nodes were successfully patched

I assume you got offline the node? We just went trogh the same and did not
have any problems

Got offline the node? Which node are you talking about? And what do you mean
offline?

I think I found some info on the internet that relates to enabling NetBios
and putting in the cluster name and IP in the lmhosts file. I am going to
attempt that. However since it's a production system it's limited when I can
work on it.

is, you need take off your active node ( where SQL Server Instance installed
and run) , then APPLY SP2 and bring the node ON.

Right click on disk on the "active" node and click take offline
