Default 64 and a 32 bit box SQL2000 - How to make poor mans cluster - 09-02-2004 , 04:51 PM

Hi
I´ve got a 64 and a 32 bit box
sqlsrv 2000 - 2 locations 60 m apart
How do I disaster secure the master(64 bit) sqlserver
by replication - can you do that with 32 bit and 64
or by log shipping - can you do that???

Log shipping to set up a standby server is probably your best bet.
Replication just won't meet your needs as an availability strategy to
populate a stand-by site. Yes, you can log ship between the 32 and 64 bit
SQL. The on-disk structures are identical.
