Default Updating SQL-server - 07-02-2008 , 04:12 AM

How can I update my SQL-server - not the Windows on the server it's
installed but the SQL-server software itself ?

Can I just turn to the usual "Windows update site" and there run the "test
for updates" ?

Best regards

You update your SQL Server by applying service packs or hotfixes. On a
production box, I would not consider Windows updates. You really want to test
a service pack/hotfix before you apply it to the prod. SQL service packs and
hotfixes come with installation instructions.
