Default Symmetric and Asymmetric - 09-24-2007 , 02:45 PM

Dear Professional,

What would be the best answer if I ask when we use Symmetric Encryption Key
and Asymmetric Encryption in terms of SQL Server 2005 database.

Thanks in advance

Hello Rogers,

Symmetric Key is faster but less safe than Asymmetric Key because it uses
only one way encryption and decryption.

Asymmetric Key is slower but safer than Symmetric Key because it uses two
way encryption and decryption.
