This is depressing. I'm using Vista Business Ed. I have SQL Server 2008 Standard Ed. installed along with SS Management Studio. When I double-click a *.sql file in Windows Explorer I receive this dialog message: --------------------------- Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio --------------------------- There is no editor available for 'C:\Users\tbaxter\Desktop\SQL Server Sample Scripts\Tools\Samples\AdventureWorks 2008 OLTP\instawdb.sql'. Make sure the application for the file type (.sql) is installed. In my file associations I have checked that *.sql files are associated with SSMS. Just for the heck of it I dis-associated and then re-associated *.sql files with SSMS but still I get this error. For now I have to open my *.sql files in notepad and copy their contents to the clipboard and then paste into a query window. Has anyone else seen this behavior? |
