Default Sql Server License - 07-09-2003 , 07:10 AM






Hi,

If i install a 1 User licence on a SQL Server and write an
application that connects as that user, do i require a
license for each machine that uses the Database i have
written. Note: it will probably be in MSAccess format.

i.e. if each user uses the same login, can i connect
through an linked table to gain access?

It doesn't quite work like that. You can't share a license unless it is
something at the server level that doesn't care which client it comes from.
Even in those cases you will need more than 1 if more than 1 user connects
at a time. These should help:
