is it require to install sql express 2008 as a client connectivity to sql
server 2008 when using Visual basic and visual Fox pro?

Ah, I don't understand the question. SQL Server Express IS SQL Server. It
does not need to be installed along with Visual Basic and it does not need
to be installed to get access to a SQL Server instance of any version.

No, the older ODBC drivers for SQL-Server 7, 2000 or 2005 should work fine.
However, if you have nothing installed at this moment (which would be
surprising if you already have VB or FoxPro), you can install the MDAC
components:

Alternatively, you can chose to install the latest ODBC and OLEDB drivers
for SQL-Server 2008 which are called the "Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Native
