Hi Adams,

I'm all set now.

Although I had the Seurity Login "sa" account set to allow granting
permission to connect to the database, the login was disabled. ugh!

I enabled it and now the Symantec Reporting Server is able to connect.

Thanks much for all your help!

Bob.

I have the same issue as Bob, where I need to install Symantec Reporting
Server on a 2003 server. I don't have the SQL Server CD media so i cannot
install the "SQL Server Client Network Utility", to setup a server alias to
use my remote SQL server. I basically need Symantec Reporting Server to see
my database before it will install. Any help from you or Bob would be just
great.

Thx,
Aaron

You can use cliconfg.exe, which is already on the machine (part of Windows).
