Although I had the Seurity Login "sa" account set to allow granting permission to connect to the database, the login was disabled. ugh! I enabled it and now the Symantec Reporting Server is able to connect. Thanks much for all your help! Bob. |

I have the same issue as Bob, where I need to install Symantec Reporting Server on a 2003 server. I don't have the SQL Server CD media so i cannot install the "SQL Server Client Network Utility", to setup a server alias to use my remote SQL server. I basically need Symantec Reporting Server to see my database before it will install. Any help from you or Bob would be just great. Thx, Aaron "Adams Qu [MSFT]" wrote: Dear Bob, Appreciate your update and response. I am glad to hear that the problem has been fixed.
