Do you mean access SQL Server from Microsoft Access? Linked
tables isn't the only way. You can use pass through queries,
ADO code - probably some other ways as well. They have
information on these in the Access help file. For ADO, you
would want to reference the Visual Basic help file in
Access.
You may want to post your question in one of the Microsoft
Access newsgroups as they'd be more informed on how those
work in Access.

Hi,

SQL 2000
Microsoft Office Access 2003 SP2

Is creating tables on MS Office Access linking to SQL 2000 the only way to
access SQL server on MS Office Access? I need to query SQL 2000 table
structure not on the SQL server. I guess I need some tutorial information on
how that can be done or if there are any better ways. I'd appreciate any
help.

Thanks,
