Hi and tx for reading. We deploy our app with MSSQL2005 Express. Now I am
curious, if someone has installed MSSQL2008, but no client, if our app can
connect to 2008 via the 2005 clients.

Yes , I had a SQL Server client tools and connected to SQL Server 2008 Dev
Edition
