Default osql licensing - 04-28-2008 , 03:02 PM






Hi,

SQLServer 2000 Personal Edition SP4

Simple Question:

I have a small environment with one GUI computer and one Database computer.
I have one license for SQLServer 2000 Personal and Standard Editions (using
Personal)

If I install the database components on the database computer, am I licensed
(am I allowed) to install the client connectivity tools on my client GUI
computer.

If so, can I keep it simple and simply copy osql.exe over to %PATH% on my
client side? That's all I really need...I'd hate to make major changes to
our install process
