Default multiple Login failed for user messages in event log - 05-17-2008 , 04:26 AM





My error log is full of login failed messages:

2008-05-16 19:46:19.19 Logon Login failed for user 'kziv'. [CLIENT:
192.168.16.24]
2008-05-16 19:46:19.20 Logon Error: 18456, Severity: 14, State: 5.
2008-05-16 19:46:19.20 Logon Login failed for user 'Admin'. [CLIENT:
192.168.16.24]
2008-05-16 19:46:19.31 Logon Error: 18456, Severity: 14, State: 5.
2008-05-16 19:46:19.31 Logon Login failed for user 'kziv'. [CLIENT:
192.168.16.24]
2008-05-16 19:46:19.33 Logon Error: 18456, Severity: 14, State: 5.
2008-05-16 19:46:19.33 Logon Login failed for user 'Admin'. [CLIENT:
192.168.16.24]

I am getting one every few seconds but my users are not complaining on
access problems. One of the strange things is that I do not have a user
called 'Admin'.
My users are using an Access 2003 desktop app to connect to SQL the app uses
linked tables.

Perhaps you have a scheduled job(s) that's trying to connect.
