Default Can't enter username for windows authentication in SQLSVR2005management console - 05-22-2009 , 12:43 PM

Hi!

In my SQL Server 2005 management console when I choose Windows
Authentication the user name and password entries are grayed out. It
puts in the domain and user name that I used to log on to my
workstation. I need to be able to use a different domain and user name
to connect to my SQL Server databases. Help! How do I configure the
management console to allow me to enter a different domain and user
name?

Any hints, tips, tricks, etc. gratefully accepted!

Thanks in advance for your time and help!

That textbox is for informational purposes only. It show you what
Windows credentials you are using. You can not edit the information.
You can, however use the "Run As" functionality in Windows to start
the Management Studio process in a different windows user context.
