Default Access ADP - Custom categories & groups - 02-11-2008 , 08:01 PM

Hi,

I am using an ADP file in Access 2007 to connect to a database in SQL Server
2000. I am trying to create new custom categories and groups, but all of the
buttons in Navigation Options in Access for doing this are greyed out. Is
this feature disabled in ADP files? Or do I need to upgrade to SQL Server
2005 to take advantage of this?

Thanks,
I. Kinal

Dear Kinal,

Thank you for posting here.

Yes, we are not allowed to create a new custom categories and groups is
disabled in the ADP files by design and this behavior also occurs to ADP
file which is connecting to the SQL Server 2005 due to the native
architecture limitation. Thank you for your understanding.

Have a nice day!
