I'm please to announce the release of version 3.8 of Mini SQL. This
release fixes some small but annoying bugs relating to secondary
sorting keys as well as some issues with the query optimser. It is
recommended that all users upgrade to this release. A list of the
changes is included below. As always, mSQL 3.8 can be downloaded from
our web site at www.Hughes.com.au.
Work has already commenced on the changes for the 3.9 release. The
most significant upcoming feature will be a reworking of the core data
handling module. There will be 2 main results from these changes.
Firstly it will allow mSQL create data files bounded only by physical
space available to the server (not the 2 Gig file limit currently
imposed by most operating system). Secondly the use of virtual memory
will be configurable to provide the predictable VM usage that is so
important for small and embedded systems / applications.
We hope you enjoy this 3.8 release of mSQL and look forward to bringing
you news of 3.9 in the coming months.
