It is my pleasure to announce the availability of Ember 1.8. This
release addresses some bugs that have been noticed on some Linux based
platforms. This release is a stability release and all users are
encouraged to upgrade. A complete list of changes is included below.

Ember 1.8 14-June-2006

* Fixed passing of ASSOC as function param

* Added support for re-using a compiled script via eResetScript().
This allows applications the use embedded ember scripts to compile
them once and call them many times without the recompilation overhead.

* Made parser error handler reset internal buffers so that subsequent
compilations by the same process don't try to read from the old buffer

* Ensure $ERRMSG is initialised at creation rather than waiting for a
module routine to do it.

* Fixed printf formatting issues with large string variable expansion

* Fixed runtime error with unitialised val struct in runALU

* Fixed operator precedence in the parser for correct interpretation of
math expressions

* Added conditional support for new API functionality. Do not enable
this
unless you know what you are doing as it will break the dynamic module
interface for any modules you've previously compiled.
