[sql-general] server errors -

We are getting this random error on our SQL server when users try and
connect with enterprise manager.
Server user 'Auser' is not a valid user in database 'Adatabase'.
The error is correct in what it says, but it is naming an unrelated
database. I.E. the user is trying to connect to "theirdatabase" not
"Adatabase".
And it's nearly always the same database reported to all users in the error.
I have checked the server for orphan users, there are none, I have made sure
the logins have a default database etc.
I dunno is this is somehow caused by restoring DB backups for customers from
other servers, but whenever I do this, I do use sp_change_users_login to
sync everything back up.
Any ideas?
