In the past I installed on my pc (Windows XP) MYSQL 4.1.12a-win32/PHP and
phpMyAdmin. I can use it without problems.

Now I want to make a website in ASP with MySql .

I have downloaded first MyODBC-3.51.11-2-win.exe. After installing I get
during testing a User DSN ( server: localhost; User :root; Password:blah)
the error:

Can't connect to MySql server on 'localhost'(10061)

After uninstalling MYODBC I installed MyODBC-3.51.12-2-win.exe.
Unfortunately I get the same error.



Please , can you give me a suggestion.
