When i try connecting to db2 database from the administrative console of WAS, i get the following error:

The test connection operation failed for data source Agcy Dwld DS on server server1 at node cvdxe106429-027Node04 with the following exception: java.sql.SQLException: DB2 SQL error: SQLCODE: -5042, SQLSTATE: , SQLERRMC: ;1208;N4EACE ;TBB1;QDB2; ; ; ;1208; ;DSRA0010E: SQL State = , Error Code = -5,042. View JVM logs for further details.

can anybody help resolve this issue?

Hi, I tried with a different database, again the error is as follows:

The test connection operation failed for data source Agcy Dwld DS on server server1 at node cvdxe106429-027Node04 with the following exception: java.sql.SQLException: [ibm][db2][jcc][t4][2030][11211] A communication error has been detected. Communication protocol being used: TCP/IP. Communication API being used: SOCKETS. Location where the error was detected: Reply.fill(). Communication function detecting the error: InputStream.read(). Protocol specific error codes Connection reset, *, 0. Message: Connection resetDSRA0010E: SQL State = null, Error Code = -4,499. View JVM logs for further details.


How to resolve this?

which jdbc provider are u sing and which jar file. Seems for me not
jt400.jar
