Default SQL and VSS - 12-10-2003 , 01:06 PM

Can you make a SQL call to VSS to display information on a web page.
I'm not trying to display actual code, just the documentation that is
in VSS. Any suggestions on how to do this?

Thanks -Ryan

ryan:

vss does not use sql server for its storage. it uses a proprietary file
based system, so what you are asking is not possible through sql.

<shameless plug>
if you want to use sql, your version control tool, for example
sourcegear vault - http://www.sourcegear.com/vault, needs to store its
info within sql server.
</shameless plug>

sourcegear corporation

ps. sorry about the plug, i just couldn't resist. :>}
