Default Scripting languages + databases - 12-07-2003 , 04:39 PM

Hi,

does someone have links which deal with
how to connect to a database with scripting languages like
PHP, Pearl with CGI .....?
Which advantages / disadvantages does this combination have?

Cheers,
Matt

I didn't think that Pearl was in widespread use anymore; perhaps you
were thinking of Perl?

If you head to the web sites associated with each scripting language,
you will likely find information there on how to interface the
language to database systems.

As for "advantages/disadvantages," those can only exist in the context
of comparing with something else. What were you wanting to compare
scripting languages to?

disadvantages of Perl, PHP ...????

Cheers
