Default migration tools - 04-13-2004 , 10:21 AM

Hi all,

As part of a report I'm writing for school I'm looking for database
migration tools to discuss. I'm looking for well known and good migration
tools. It doesnt matter which databases they support.
Anyone have some good suggestions, and some experience with them?

Tnx !

One great migration tool was the wheel. It enabled easy migration from place
to place for thousands of years. Still does. You could put the database
server on a cart with wheels and migrate it from one building to another.

I would suggest VB.Net, or ANSI C, or Java...Programmers program!

Hi,

AdventNet Inc, which offers offers Database Migration tools for
converting Stored Procedures, SQLs, Database schema and Data from one
database to another. They provide good conversion rate and also
support quite a number of databases. You can checkout their website at
http://www.swissql.com

Thanks,

Clarence
