Some people use that as a definition for insanity. Instead of trying to bludgeon him on the point, why not just give up on the idea that he is going to change his mind? After all, you probably are not going to change your mind either. He thinks the logical and physical models are the same and you don't need to add surrogates when moving frmo the logical to the physical. I do not believe that. I think Mr. Celko believes that with intelligent key choice, it may be possible to avoid using surrogates in many cases. |
