VFP9: Adobe Acrobat 7.0.5 SDK -

I have the SDK. In several hundred pages of documentation, I
have found a little over one-half of a page that deals with automating
Acrobat Distiller. (That is page 20 of "Adobe Acrobat 7.0.5 / Acrobat
Distiller API Reference".)
All I want to do is print to a program-specified file.
I have coded up the procedure, and it *usually* works. Problems:
1) The Distiller still gets opened. I do not want that. I have not
yet found anything on how to prevent this.
2) Sometimes, I have had hangups. I have been very careful with my
programming, but that has not been enough. On one run, VFP hung. On
another, I got a "Save to PDF" file dialog box from, I think, VFP.
I am thinking that there might be a race condition occurring, but
this is just a guess at this point. I write to the Registry then
print as that seems to be the logical order; the documentation does
not say either way.
Has anyone here worked with printing from VFP 9 to Adobe
Distiller by programmatic control of the Distiller?
Sincerely,
Gene Wirchenko
