It is not quite i18n, but one of our clients wants to be known by their real name. Said name contains a degree symbol. I know there are critters called codepages that deal with this sort of thing, but I have never had to, and the documentation is less than edifying. It does not matter if it is weird to enter, only that it display on the screen and print on reports. Sincerely, Gene Wirchenko |

If your users don't want to mess with ALT-0176, tell them to open Word and Insert->Symbol. Once they've inserted a degree symbol in an empty document, copy/paste it into your app. |

I doubt you really need to worry about codepages. |
