What are some good frameworks that I can check out easily? |

Promatrix and Visual Extend both have free downloads.
Personal opinion, although not kept current for the last 3-4 years:
FoxExpress: perhaps the best architected fwk.
Dunno how much current development.
Liked the way the devs think and
parts of the code I read.
Visual Extend: Probably the fwk currently most actively enhanced.
Architecture not as strong as Express,
but at least first one (still?) to use cursoradapters.
vfp and MS-SQL server backendes regularly tested,
some of the new stuff of SEDNA upsizing came from there.
VERY broad set of working tools around the app to write.
Currently development for vfp backend and
silverlight frontend with some control for the front.
Lots of videos and test applications, english support as well.
(Disclaimer: as this fwk is very strong in
german speaking countries I part-time work on a few
apps by different fwk customers. I also know
some of the people "behind" it quite well,
but am not involved financially, other than giving
them a hard time in discussion or over a few beers...)
Promatrix: strong RAD. I am personally biased against it,
as one of the owners/devs on a demo showed
***highly*** redundant code, and when asked about it,
argued I should not worry, that this was their code,
*they* were writing it for me. Rubbed me totally
the wrong way (Don't care, whose gargbage it is,
want none of it. <g>) Might be cleaner now.
