I have run into an bothersome difference in VFP 9. I am debugging an program and have a browse in the middle to look at a generated cursor. The command window now displays over the browse. This knocks out using a full-screen browse which I occasionally need. If I click on the command window to move it, I can, but at the cost of the browse disappearing. Is there a setting that I am missing? Sincerely, Gene Wirchenko Computerese Irregular Verb Conjugation: I have preferences. You have biases. He/She has prejudices. |

It sounds like the command window has the "dockable" option selected. Right click the title bar of the command window and uncheck dockable. |

That was it, and I doubt I would ever have thought of that. People actually dock the command window? |

That gives me all three in a tabbed window. I would prefer that it didn't force the window to always be on top, but I like having all three always open in one place. |

The other thing I like about having the command window dockable is it is not constrained to the VFP desktop. I can move it completely out of the VFP frame, yet still have access to it. |

I always run VFP maximised myself. I suppose: Cue the developer who puts the command window on the other monitor. Sincerely, Gene Wirchenko Computerese Irregular Verb Conjugation: I have preferences.
