Do VFP 8/9 applications run in Windows 95?? I have a customer who is running my application on a Windows 95 machine and all the application top-of-screen menus contain nothing but white space. When re-installed on a Windows 98 machine everything works fine. Microsoft VFP 8 help does NOT list Windows 95 as a compatible operating system. Is this because its so old they don't want to mention it anymore or does VFP 8/9 NOT work in this operating system??? HELP! Paul |

Yes; they run -- despite what others may say. The DEVELOPMENT environment is not supported on win9x -- the resulting EXE & vfp runtimes work fine. I have both vfp8 & 9 apps running on win98. Josh, Actually since Win 95 doesn't support GDI+ (Win 98 does, but it has to be updated), it's possible that a VFP 8.0/9.0 application will not display properly - especially the VFP 9.0 report previews. On the other hand, if you are running a non-GUI app/DLL, it should run fine in Win 95. Rick "Josh Assing" <xjoshx (AT) jassing (DOT) com> wrote Yes; they run -- despite what others may say.
