Default VFP 6: Non-modal Form Trouble - 07-19-2004 , 10:56 PM

To this point, all of the forms in my app have been modal. Now,
I wish to have an exception, but the form in question is staying modal
in behaviour.

.windowtype for the form is set to 0 (before the form is shown)
(and I have verified this with a messagebox()), and I explicitly .show
the form with a parm of 2 (non-modal). However, when I then click on
a button on the other form then being displayed, the click is not
accepted (beep!). If I close the supposedly non-modal form, I can
then successfully click the button that I tried earlier.

IOW, the form is stating that it is non-modal and acting modally.
What is going on, please?

Sincerely,

Gene Wirchenko

Is it the child form of a modal form? IIRC, child forms of modals are modal
too. But it's early and only one cup of coffee.....
