When I was telecommuting, I installed VFP 6 on my system at home. It had the on-line help. Now, at the office, it does not. I reinstalled VFP 6 using the MSDN library CDs, but help (F1, etc) is not accessible inside of VFP. The help is accessible outside of VFP, but with that awkward interface that insists on displaying all of the things that I wish to ignore. (Why when I select just the VFP docs all of the rest of the index has to continue to be displayed is beyond me.) What am I overlooking here? Sincerely, Gene Wirchenko |

Hullo Gene - First and ForMost - I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HAPPY you are taking the plunge with actually installing the help file for VFP 6. For Many Developers - this is deemed quite a catastrophic career-threatening lack - and finally you are pushing past it. I know its only taken 4 years, 9 months 3 days 17 hours and 23 minutes for you to actually get to the state where you're pounding your head up against the wall, and throw a plea for help into this particular ether . |

Second and Lastly - There is a setting inside of VFP that points to *where* the HELP FILE is actually located - find it, change it, and go forth. |
