Trouble with padding spaces in memo file - 07-11-2003 , 04:03 AM

I have serevel collums in a memo file. These colums are tab seperated.
The collums themselfs are padded, when I use CHR(32) as pad character
the result becomes a mess in my report.
However if use _ or . it looks just fine?

How can I fix this?
