I cannot run an external DOS program from inside Foxpro using the !/Run
command. I confirmed the comspec variable, I checked it using Foxpro's
getenv() function, so that tells me that Foxpro knows it's there. I
confirmed there is enough RAM (35k), I added command.com into the c:\
directory. I am running, in this case, MS-DOS 6.22 with the 4DOS 7.5
command processor. No Windows, no Linux, no DOSemu.

I get !/Run Command Failed.

Help?

Please note: In this case, google is NOT my friend.

Try entering the entire pathname if the program you're
trying to run is not in $PATH.

Sorry about the English, but use a translator program.

earlier, under Windows 98 or Windows ME, ran an application in foxpro 2.6 for DOS.

if within the application, called the calculator: run calc.exe
ran and was not interrupted in foxpro application.
Now with Windows XP, the same command in foxpro application stops until I close the calculator.

could in some way to set the calculator to load and continue without stopping aplicaicón foxpro?

Thanks and Greetings from Guatemala

Fernando

I have tested in FoxProDOS 2.5 in WinXP:

***** TEST.PRG
set talk OFF
clear
run "c:\windows\system32\calc.exe"
wait
*****

It is working O.K.:
- launches CALC.EXE
- wait until CALC.EXE quitted
- returns from TEST.PRG
