AK,
The obvious answer is to note which video card/monitors work right, and make sure everyone uses those! <g> Seriously, I don't believe there is a programmatic way of "fixing" this problem. For those that can't live with the 2-3 second screen blanking, see the first sentence.

If you said it happens with some Video Cards, then maybe reducing hardware
accell migth help; but if the monitor is the only thing that's changed, it's the
monitor....
