Yes, but wasn't it really "dBase II" and "CP/M"? <g>

No, it was dBASE II and CP/M. Remember the bilge pump ads saying
that other database programs were like bilge pumps?

It was the bundling of dBASE with Osbornes that persuaded my boss
to buy an Osborne for my desk (with an external monitor, of
course). I eventually quit that job to take a job selling
Osbornes, 2 months before they filed Chapter 11.

If that hadn't happened I probably never would have gone back to
school to get my CIS degree.

Remember using PIP to copy files?

Control Program / Microprocessor! 16k memory, 2 x 5.25 fd, supercalc
and dbase II - but can't for the life of me remember the name of the
manufacturer!! I am no longer pre-senile!

I used to sell KayPro computers. Those puppies were like lugging around
sewing machines!

Istill have a 'machine' but no TTL monitor. The machine is (!) DUAL
Processors 6502 and Z80, so looks like Apple II, but also have 80
colons card, etc. etc. great thing, but then Big Blue screw(ed) the
World.
