Well, I'm trying to get to: microsoft.public.fox.programmer.exchange and I
get a 60-second timeout, and a message:
Header download for "microsoft.public.fox.programmer.exchange" did not
complete . . news.east.earthlink.net . . error 0x800C006F .
I haven't gotten anything new since Nov. 5
Is it just me? Other newsgroups are still alive for me.

I followed your suggestion to unsubscribe and resubcribe. The newsreader
downloaded 6 messages, and then got stuck. Maybe the 7th message was too big
or has a virus. It is right after a message from Fred Taylor dated 11/5/03
at 9:48 pm. Can you look in that vicinity and say if you see any odd
message?

So I unsubscribed and resubscribed.
The newsreader started to load messages, and succeeded in retrieving 6
messages. It got stuck on the 7th. Is it possible it's too big or has a
virus? This

I unsubscribed and resubscribed, and it still doesn't work. It downloads 6
messages, then gets stuck after a message from Fred Taylor of November 5,
9:48 pm. Could you check if there's any unusual message in that vicinity?
maybe too big, maybe with a virus?
I'd appreciate it highly.

Works Ok for me too. Are you accessing msnews.microsoft.com
directly or rather through a mirror, of your ISP for example?

Stefan Wuebbe gave a good hint. I can now call the newsgroup directly, as
follows:

http://msdn.microsoft.com/newsgroups...ammer.exchange

and which is in a favorite list. Although I prefer the interface of my ISP.
That problem is still to be resolved. So thanks.

Bonjour Stefan

directly the msnews server .... <s>
