Our company has a very nice setup.exe that only includes the DLLS necessary to run VFP8. So what we do is 1) run this setup.exe on a user's pc that gives them the necessary dlls, etc. 2) Build and compile a project in vfp8 and put the new exe on the network. When I run the setup.exe it requires two or three interactions: splash screen comes up, press NEXT, customer info screen comes up, FILL IN (generic) username, organization and press NEXT. Press INSTALL, press FINISH and all works great. Then when we upgrade the project exe, all users immediate can use it. My question. Is there a "silent mode" whereby I could enter in the parameters (username, organization or let it default) and then with no user interaction do the vfp8 dll installs. What I want obviously, is to figure out how to do this and then have our network folks push this to all VFP8 users, so I don't have to go from pc to pc installing this setup.exe. |
