I am having problems getting fpw26 and genscrnx to work on xp. I have stripped out all references to MS sans serif in all screens (including the form record). When I rebuild all, genscrnx will fail at random points in the project. I can't find anything consistent about where it will fail. Each time it does I come out of fpw, go back in, delete all spr files, replace the Object field in the pjx table with '' and rebuild all to make sure I am starting with the same conditions each time. The project has 220 screens. It may fail on screen 5, 38, 147, 196, it seems completely random as to where it will go wrong. Does anybody have any experience of getting fpw26 and genscrnx to work on xp. The version of genscrnx is 2.0. Is there a later version available? Many thanks Stephen |

I believe besides the "usual" FPW 2.x fast-CPU issues, the original GenScrnX has an additional Sys(3) problem. AFAIK Rick Bean offers a fixed version, you may find it via http://groups.google.com/advanced_group_search hth -Stefan "Stephen Ibbs" <stephen (AT) data-developments (DOT) co.uk> schrieb im Newsbeitrag news:cnhq0b$jnf$1 (AT) hercules (DOT) btinternet.com... Thanks Rick Stephen "Rick Bean" <rgbean (AT) NOSPAMmelange-inc (DOT) com> wrote in message news:10ppf13crjae92a (AT) corp (DOT) supernews.com... Thanks for the "plug" Stefan! The "fast CPU" fix you need for GENSCRNX can be found at my local user group site - http://mmfudg.org/tips_etc.htm - GENSCRNX.ZIP [35 KB].
