Hi guys - I have a "FoxPro Is Ignoring Me" problem... One of my clients got
a new computer with XP, and FoxPro suddenly slowed to a crawl. We
discovered that the tmp files are being created on the network drive. It
appears that the "tmpfiles=c:\temp" statement is being ignored, and the
"working directory" of the application (on the network, according to the PIF
file, though I don't know whether their tech guy actually copied the old PIF
or just created a new one erroneously) is being used instead. We made sure
c:\temp was really there, and even tried moving the config file to the local
drive.

In a simplified example, the command line currently goes
C:\FOXPRO25\FOXPROX.EXE -CS:\MYAPPS\CONFIG.FP
Working directory was set to S:\MYAPPS. Is the solution now to set the
working directory to C:\TEMP, and what effect might I expect this to have on
FoxPro finding the application I'm actually trying to run?
