Default Fox file lock and backups. - 01-10-2005 , 04:28 PM

Hi all;

I am using Foxpro2.5 DOS on a win98 network.
Is there a way to backup the database while people are using them?
Basically I want to set up an unattended backup procedure which will
run a few times a day. Any ideas?

Thx.

create a program that opens all the tables in shared mode & then "copy to
c:\backup" or soething & then backup that directory.

The application needs to be oening the files in shared mode...

of course, it's been years since I used FPD, but I'm pretty sure it was network
"aware" (or more correctly, multi-user aware)
