Current path ?

I am using VFP 5.0.

I wanted to know, if there is a command that will tell me, what path
the desktop applications is using.

The reason I ask is because there is a command called FILE(). It checks
for a file along the path. If it finds it, the function returns a true.
I wanted to know, where did it search.
