I have an app which has been brought up from VFP 5, 6, and now 8, under Windows 95, 98, 2000, and now we're in XP. The buttons on all my forms now act strangely. They "disappear" unless then have the focus. You can see the button's text, but not the outline. Similar to the "cool bar" effect, but this is not cool on a form. I have played with the form's Themse property as well as the button's (our forms and buttons are all subclassed, so changing the class's Theme property sets that property for everything of that class). Nothing works. I HAVE done new development with forms and buttons that are not subclassed, and they look OK. Is this a known issue with VFP 8 and XP? John |

Ah, finally figured this one out. Don't know how this happened, whether it was during the upgrade to VFP 8 or what, but our button class had gotten it's "Special Effect" property set to "Hot Tracking". I set it back to "3D" and the buttons appear as expected. So, you all may want to be aware of this when upgrading to VFP 8 and/or XP. Of course, it could have been just my fault, so, in that case, don't worry about it. :-) John I have an app which has been brought up from VFP 5, 6, and now 8, under Windows 95, 98, 2000, and now we're in XP.
