Default reading participation constraints in n-ary relationship from ER diagram - 10-15-2003 , 05:32 PM






Can someone explain what optional and mandatory participation means in
a ternary or higher relationship?
I am having bother finding a good explanation of it in textbooks/on
the web. All sources concentrate on the easier case of binary
relationships.
