I'm new to Sybase ASE. I have access to an account on a server.
Where can I download a client just to do some create some simple test
tables? I went to the sybase website, but did not see the download
for the client in obvious places.

You can download a free development edition of ASE, and install only
the PC-client part. Go to www.sypron.nl/ase_free for links where you
can download a free version of ASE.
